Gluten-free breads and treats are essential in maintaining a healthy diet for a celiac person.
When my son Cesar Michael was first diagnosed with celiac disease, back in August 2010, we immediately started buying “gluten-free products.” To our surprise, not all gluten-free products have a good taste. When you have a young child that is used to eating almost anything from the menu and then he is told that he can’t eat certain things anymore, it is very devastating. When we explained Cesar Michael the reasons why he could not eat the traditional foods anymore, he cried. It was very shocking for him. Therefore, he needed to follow a very strict gluten-free diet.
Our daughter Cecilia Marie was just recently diagnosed with Wheat allergy as well. She also needed to follow a gluten-free diet. By now, she had already seen the struggles of her brother. After the doctor diagnosed her with wheat allergy, it also was the saddest news she ever received. She loved her breads. In fact, her favorite food was bread.
Not all gluten-free products have a good taste.
Assuming that all gluten-free products are delicious it is a big mistake. As members of The Northern NJ Celiac Disease Support Group, we have tried several products when vendors bring in to show their products. Then we have chosen the gluten-free products that our children are comfortable with. One of the most important things to take into consideration when purchasing gluten-free products is, to make sure that the products are gluten-free certified. It will give you the assurance that the manufacturing facilities have passed a gluten-free certification program.
Over the most recent months, we found a reliable company that sells Certified Gluten-free breads and treats. It is called KATZ GLUTEN FREE.
I am sure there are other companies out there with amazing products as well. However, our children love their baked goods assortments.
When we first found them, we decided to try them out. We were impressed with their FREE SAMPLE PACK. Use the Code SAMPLE if you decide to try it out.
The company was established in early 2006 based in Monroe, New York. Their state-of-the-art facility has been certified Gluten-free by GIG (Gluten Intolerance Group).
Their products are also “Certified Kosher.”
By ordering the sample pack, you are able to choose which breads or treats you like better. To be honest with you, there were certain items in the pack that my daughter did not like but my son loved them. But after all, KATZ GLUTEN FREE is one of the companies that carries the best Gluten-free breads and treats.
