The Gluten-free Expo at the Meadowlands Expo Center, NJ was an exciting event to attend. My children, my wife and I attended the event on Saturday September 7. It was the first gluten and allergen free event we have ever attended.
We always wanted to attend a gluten-free fair event but most of them were scheduled out the State. As soon as we heard that a gluten-free fair was coming to New Jersey, my children got so excited. In fact, they had a great
time walking the show. My Son Cesar Michael is a Celiac person and my daughter Cecilia Marie has a wheat allergy. They both maintain a gluten-free diet.
There was a multitude of gluten-free vendors displaying their products. The best part was that you were able to try new products. Knowing that all the displays and products were gluten-free, gave my children a sense of safety. They were jumping for joy. They were able to try new gluten-free snacks for school. As soon as we stepped in the building, you could see my children’s smile ready to walk and find out what is new in the gluten-free world.
We were able to take home literature about new products, new companies that sell certain products, and most of all, we were able to sign up for more information on products that we liked and receive coupons.
Everything was very well organized. I recommend anyone to attend a gluten-free fair. You will enjoy sampling products and decide whether you will or will not include them on your list of favorite foods.
Lastly, we attended a class titled “The Art and Science of Gluten-Free Baking” by Annalise Roberts. We learned some important tips about gluten-free baking.
In conclusion, it was an exciting event. There was a great selection of new products. My children were able to enjoy the event, and most of all they were able to savor the great products available now.
Congratulations to all the gluten-free and allergen-free vendors that attended the expo. You guys did a great job!
